Networks: Clinical Research Network is part of the National Institute for Health Research and it is involved in commissioning and funding health research that focuses on improving NHS health and social care services. The Research Design Service North West (RDS NW) is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) as part of a network of regional Research Design Services in England. The Research Design Service provides advice on research design to researchers in the North West who are developing proposals for national, peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research.

Greater Manchester Academic Health Science network This network covers Greater Manchester, East Lancashire and East Cheshire and brings together healthcare and academic organisations in partnership with industry, local authorities and other agencies.

North West Research Design Service
National Centre for Research Methods The National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) at the University of Southampton. NCRM was tasked to increase the quality and range of methodological approaches used by UK social scientists through a programme of training and capacity building, and with driving forward methodological development and innovation through its own research programme.
