Welcome to the Greater Manchester for Allied Health Professions Research Network

Connect through research

The Greater Manchester Hub is part of the Council for Allied Health Professions Research (CAHPR). The council’s mission is to strengthen the evidence of the professions’ value. With your involvement, we will enable the professions to speak with one voice on research issues, thereby raising their profile and increasing their influence in the Greater Manchester area and across the UK-wide regional hubs.

Launching the 2017 Advancing Healthcare Awards

The 2017 Advancing Healthcare awards are launched today. These UK-wide awards, now in their eleventh year, are exclusively for allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those who work alongside them in support roles. Isn’t about time you received the recognition you deserve?

This year twelve awards can be entered directly and the website shows clearly which are open to both AHPs and healthcare scientists, and which are only for AHPs or only for HCSs. A new award, sponsored by The Guardian, is aimed at those working in mental health; and another new award, sponsored by Health Education England and the National Institute for Health Research seeks out our research champions.

The website has full details of all the awards and includes lots of advice and tips about completing your entry and details of past winners. Here is the awards flyer for you to download to send to colleagues who may be interested.
